People fight the polls, not the party, says Kejriwal
Mr Kejriwal answered nearly 20 questions in a two-hour Q and A session for which people from across the country were urged to question the Delhi Chief Minister on a phone line, through text messages and on social media.
As AAP gears up for a string of state elections next year, more than one question for Mr Kejriwal was on Gujarat.
A caller asked: "There is no freedom of raising questions in Gujarat. Will you contest there?"
Mr Kejriwal agreed that "there is a culture of oppression in Gujarat and the people have decided to teach them a lesson."
He added: "The party does not contest polls. It's the people of the state who fight it. Even in Delhi, the people spent (their own) money to bring us to power. If people of Gujarat decide to, we are with them."
He added that the party would hold a meeting in Gujarat in the next two or three months to decide its strategy in the state.
Another caller questioned whether Mr Kejriwal though his party can make a mark in Gujarat.
He replied that based on his recent visit, the "response was great."
