The desperate screams of "mujhe bachalo" (Save me) alerted officials in Lalitpur police station in Uttar Pradesh. A minor girl, who escaped from one-month captivity from a woman's house in Kotwali area, reached the police station in a tormented state. The girl revealed that a woman tricked her to her house, drugged her and then sent multiple men to rape her.
"The water that the woman offered me had drugs. I felt dizzy. She then sent men to rape me," the girl said in between sobs.
She said that her torture continued for a month before she found an opportunity to escape, the marks on her body suggesting that she was also drugged using injections.
The girl alleged that the woman who had held her captive sells children for money and runs a prostitution racket. She would beat the girls up and also shoot their videos in objectionable positions to threaten them. The girls who do not agree with her are sold for lakhs of rupees, she alleged.
The girl's grandmother said that the girl doesn't have parents and she got her married a few months back in Lalitpur area. She would visit her often but one day, she stopped coming.
The police promptly filed her complaint and raided the woman's house.
"We immediately raided the house but the woman wasn't there. Case has been registered and multiple teams have been formed to find her. Strictest action will be taken against her," a senior police official said.
Several mobile phones with obscene video clips have also been recovered from the woman's house.
