Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh has blamed Baba Ramdev for a shoe attack at Rahul Gandhi at a rally in Dehra Dun on Monday.
"Baba Ramdev is a thug. He took commission while converting black money into white. An Enforcement Directorate enquiry is going on; he has got a notice worth Rs 100 crore. Where did he get the money to buy an island from in Scotland? He sought the support of BJP and the RSS," the Congress general secretary said.
A shoe was thrown at Rahul Gandhi while he was addressing a rally in Vikasnagar in Uttarakhand on Monday.
The shoe fell 10 meters short of the Congress general secretary, according to the police.
The man who threw the shoe, identified as Kuldip, was immediately taken into custody, Mr Goswami said, adding that he was being interrogated.
As the security personnel and Congress supporters grabbed Kuldip, Mr Gandhi was heard saying "don't hit him".
Digvijaya's comment comes days after Ramdev blamed the Congress for the ink attack on him at his press conference on black money. The attack had reportedly left his left eye blackened.
