My government is committed to nurturing the right environment for actualising this mandate
It can be achieved only though your active participation
My government will function on the mantra of "minimum government, maximum governance"
My government is dedicated to the poor
My government commits itself to the role of poverty elimination
It will take necessary steps to ensure security to citizens in all its entirety
My government will take steps to prevent hoarding and black marketing
Government is aware of a sub-normal monsoon this year and is prepared with contingency plans
My government is committed to improving quality of life in villages by empowering people through a strong Panchayati Raj system
Government will adopt national land use policy
Each drop of water is precious... my government is committed to giving high priority for water security
By harvesting rain water, we will nurture water conservation and ground water recharge Hon'ble members, India is world's oldest civilisation. Today, it is also a country with the large population of youth... we must nurture them with incentives and right skill set to reap dividends
We will set up IITs and IIMs in every state
My government will strive to break barriers between formal education and skill development
Children and youth of the country need avenues for recreation... My government will launch national sports talent recognition programme
Government will have zero-tolerance for violence against women
State specific development models will be developed taking into account specific state problems
Government committed to 33% reservation for women in Parliament
Government committed to providing clean and efficient administration, installation of Lokpal to curb corruption
Government systems, processes will be re-visited to make them citizen-friendly, corruption-free
Government is committed to rid the country of the scourge of corruption and the menace of black money
Keeping in mind that the "justice delayed is justice denied", government will look at multi-pronged approach to tackle the high pendency of cases in the country... it will look at filling up vacancies in the judiciary... will give emphasis to alternate methods of dispute resolution
Infiltration in North East will be dealt with on a priority basis
National e-governance plan will be expanded
GDP is less than 5%, inflation at an unacceptable level... Will work together to usher economy, accelerate job creation
Employment opportunities will be expanded by promoting tourism
Government will undertake reforms to ease business
Tax regime will be made non-adversarial... Reforms to help businesses... FDI will be allowed where jobs can be created
Government will launch diamond quadrilateral network of railways
Low-cost cost airports will be developed to promote air connectivity
International civil nuclear agreements will be operationalised
River Ganga is a part of our rich cultural heritage, lifeline of millions. However, it continues to be polluted... government committed to providing a clean, perennial Ganga.
Government recognises the central role of science and technology in improving the quality of life. It will encourage and incentivise the use of technology and nurture innovation. Government will establish institutes of technology for rural development
The country is proud of its armed forces... we will strengthen defence preparedness by modernising or armed forces... government will do everything to repay the debt to our brave soldiers.
India's foreign policy, with its civilisational roots and heritage, is based on the principles of friendly relations with all countries.
We will never shy away from raising issues of concerns at the bilateral level... we emphasis that the future of shared prosperity can only be built on the foundation of stability
Focus on 5 Ts - Tradition, Talent, Tourism, Trade and Technology
People of India given a clear mandate... they want to see a vibrant, dynamic and prosperous India... they want to see a resurgent India.
In 60 months, we should be able to see with confidence and pride that we have done it
