Orissa: MLA shot dead by suspected Maoists

Bhubaneswar: Jagbandhu Majhi, an MLA from Umerkote in Orissa, has been shot dead by suspected Maoists.

Majhi belonged to the ruling Biju Janata Dal. He was attending a public meeting near Rajghar.

The MLA's personal security officer has also been killed in the attack.
