The high-altitude tribal areas of Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur districts in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday received mild snowfall, while Palampur witnessed moderate rainfall, causing a fall in minimum temperatures.

Keylong and Kalpa in tribal areas recorded minimum temperatures of 10.4 degrees Celsius and 11.4 degrees Celsius respectively, while Manali and Shimla registered a low of 12.0 degrees Celsius and 14.3 degrees Celsius, followed by Palampur 16.0 degrees Celsius; Solan 17.5 degrees Celsius and Dharamsala 18.5 degrees Celsius.
Una was hottest in the region with maximum temperatures settling at 34.6 degrees Celsius, while Sundernagar and Bhuntar recorded a high of 31.7 degrees Celsius and 31.5 degrees Celsius respectively, followed by Solan 29.0 degrees Celsius; Nahan 27.9 degrees Celsius; Manali 24.2 degrees Celsius; Shimla 23.5 degrees Celsius; and Kalpa 23.0 degrees Celsius.
Palampur in Kangra district recorded 14 mm of rain, while Kalpa, Kasol and Manikaran recorded 1 mm of rainfall each.
The monsoon rain deficit increased to 19 per cent as the state recorded 587.9 mm average rainfall from June 1 to September 3 against normal rainfall of 722.1 mm.
The MeT has predicted rains or thundershowers at isolated places in lower and mid-hilly areas over the next six days.
