Bhubaneswar:
Following heavy rain in several parts of Odisha on Sunday, the state government has issued flood alerts in all districts, deciding not to take any chances.
Special relief commissioner P.K. Mohapatra told IANS that the alerts were issued as there was a possibility of heavy rain in the next four days in the state.
"We have directed the administration to be in readiness to meet any eventuality" said Mr Mohapatra, citing meteorological forecast.
According to the forecasts, a low pressure area has formed over the northern Bay of Bengal under the influence of a cyclonic circulation.
