Over 9,000 Coronavirus Cases In India In A Single Day For First Time

India's tally of coronavirus cases has cross 2.16 lakh after a record number of 9,304 people tested positive for the deadly virus infection in the last 24 hours. The total cases in the country stood at 2,16,919, including 6,075 deaths, Union Health Ministry data shows. As India and other nations fight the pandemic, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Wednesday that clinical trials of the drug hydroxychloroquine will resume as it searches for potential coronavirus treatments. The WHO had said last month that it had temporarily suspended the trials to conduct a safety review, which has now concluded there is "no reason" to change the way the trials are conducted.
