Police have now launched a probe into whether celebratory shots were fired as part of a wedding procession of the 27-year-old all-rounder in
Gujarat today. Firing in the air even with a licensed weapon is illegal under Indian law.
Footage from the ceremony showed at least one person at the wedding, firing several rounds from a revolver while dangerously close to the bride, groom and guests. Witnesses said at least five rounds were fired.

"We have received information that shots were fired. We have initiated an inquiry into the incident," a local police officer Mahendrasinh Rana said.
Ravindra Jadeja and his family have declined to comment over the controversy. The cricketer married
Riva Solanki, 25, today.
