CBI files chargesheet in Ishrat Jahan case: Who said what

CBI files chargesheet in Ishrat Jahan case: Who said what
New Delhi: CBI files chargesheet in Ishrat Jahan case: Who said whatThe chargesheet concluded that she was killed in a fake encounter that was a joint operation conducted by the Gujarat unit of the Intelligence Bureau and the state police.

Here are some reactions on the chargesheet:

Nusrat Jahan, Ishrat Jahan's sister:
We are happy with the CBI chargesheet. It has been proved that she is innocent. I am not entirely happy because people who killed her have not been punished. I am happy that the terrorist taint on our family and my sister has been cleaned.  It is not our fight or fight of Muslims, It is a fight of all ordinary men.

Rauf Lala, Ishrat Jahan's uncle:
Half justice is not justice. Chargesheet has names of cops who killed her but the report is incomplete. We are still couple of steps away from naming people who got her killed

MG Vaidya, RSS ideologue:
I don't know whether the mention of the IB is true or not, the court will give the ultimate verdict. The names of few political leaders, who were also involved, are not mentioned in the charge sheet.

Gopinath Pillai, father of Pranesh Pillai (Javed) who was killed along with Ishrat in the encounter:
The people who had set the ploy are still comfortable. The small rank officers are being caught but the main mind is still safe.

Nirmala Sitaraman, BJP leader:
The CBI charge sheet underplays the role of LeT, and certainly indicts the Indian security apparatus.

Meem Afzal, Congress spokesperson:
The murder of an innocent person leaves a trail to the accused. If the CBI charge sheet says the encounter was fake, it shows it. We want the law to take its own course and that the culprits should be brought to book.

Ali Anwar, JD (U) leader:
Ishrat Jahan was Bihar's daughter. Murder cannot be hidden. Every crime leaves evidence behind it. Her family contacted us. We assured them that we are with you.

Rajiv Pratap Rudy, BJP General Secretary:

Chidambaram, in 2004 and 2007, had given an affidavit saying that people killed in the encounter were terrorists. The CBI today is accusing the police officers of a particular state and possibly trying to create a version that is in contradiction to the version of the Central government (headed by Manmohan Singh then) which applauded and even certified that these people (killed in the encounter) were terrorist.

Madhusudan Mistry, Congress General Secretary:

The people from Gujarat know that this encounter was fake. During a period of three months, when there was talks about removing Modi as Chief Ministers, such encounters took place with frequent intervals propping up a theory that there was an attempt to murder Modi.
