Black money trail to Lilavati Hospital?

Mumbai: A day after the names of 15 Indians surfaced on the list of black money account holders with money stashed away in LGT Bank in Liechtenstein, serious allegations have now been levelled against Prabodh Mehta, a trustee of Mumbai's famous Lilavati Hospital.

Mehta's estranged nephew, Rajiv Mehta, has accused his uncle of siphoning off funds from the charity hospital.

In a statement to NDTV, Lilavati Hospital has defended Prabodh Mehta, denying all charges. The statement says that the I.T. Department on a re-assessment did not find any evasion of tax on the part of Mr. Prabodh Mehta and the proceedings were accordingly closed against him in 2009.
