Anna disrespected Parliament: Lalu Yadav
New Delhi: A day after Team Anna organised a Jan Lokpal debate at Jantar Mantar against what they call is the government's attempt at weakening the Lokpal, RJD chief Lalu Yadav today said that Anna Hazare has disrespected Parliament.

"Mr Anna Hazare said that 180 goons are sitting in Parliament. It is Parliament's disrespect. Mr Hazare should take his words back," RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said today.

In a speech at the end of his one-day fast yesterday, Anna had said, "Principles of democracy should be followed in the country, but those in power try to force their will upon the weaker section. Instead of asking for permission from the Gram Panchayat, those in power grab the land of the farmers forcefully. And if there is any resistance, they use lathi and bullets. These people decide the fate of the entire country? We have to change this. We'll have to stop these goons from reaching Parliament. And to do this, we need the Right to Reject."

The anti-corruption activist and his team had also invited leaders from different political parties to participate in the Lokpal debate. While the prominent Opposition parties attended the debate, Congress chose to stay away.

"They called everyone and the leaders expressed their views on the Lokpal Bill. We do not have anything to do with those who went to attend it," said Mr Yadav whose party also did not attend the debate.
