Several exit polls today predicted a dominant performance for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam, a fierce challenge to the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal, a rise to power for opposition alliances in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Following the conclusion of the final phase of voting in West Bengal, various polling agencies released data indicating that the BJP is likely to secure a second consecutive term in Assam and potentially unseat or significantly challenge Mamata Banerjee's government in West Bengal. In Southern India, projections point toward a return of the DMK-led alliance in Tamil Nadu and a comeback for the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) in Kerala.
