What is the cause of pain in the back and legs?
Question
I am suffering from pain in one leg, from hip back centre portion for the last seven months. I am neither in a position to sit, stand, sleep or walk. When I take nimulid it subsides but if I do not take the next dose it comes back. I have already taken a CT scan of spine and doctor confirms that there is no problem. What should I do next? Recently I underwent a surgery where they removed a polyp from the mouth of uterus. Does this have any connection to my pain?

Pain in the back radiating to your back suggest some neural compression (nerve compression). CT scan may not necessarily show any lesion if the pain is disabling, I would suggest MRI exam, after having seen an orthopaedic surgeon. A physical examination is the best way to decide or point towards a probable diagnosis. You should resort to physical therapy which includes back strengthening, stretching as well as abdominal exercises. You can take pain medication, but they should not be a routine. Hot fomentation or spending some time under a warm shower will be comfortable.
