Today's big releases: Man Of Steel and Fukrey

Movie goers can choose between an action-adventure and a comedy-caper today.

Highlights

  • It is a mix of action and comedy at the box office today with Hollywood's Superman reboot Man Of Steel and Bollywood's comedy-caper Fukrey up for release today.
  • Based on the DC Comics character Superman, Man Of Steel features Henry Cavill and Amy Adams in the lead. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

  • Man Of Steel is expected to open in 4000 plus theatres in the US alone, thanks to the unprecedented buzz that it has generated, and Warner Bros Pictures, the studio behind the flick, is apparently fast-tracking the sequel to the reboot.
  • Next up for release is Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's co-production Fukrey. The film is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and features Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal, Richa Chadda, Vishakha Singh and Priya Anand in the lead roles.
  • The movie is about four boys who cannot wait to live the college life. And in keeping with the spirit of the film, the trailer of Fukrey was launched in the canteen of Mumbai's Jai Hind College.
  • Also out today is Vikram Bhatt's Ankur Arora Murder Case. The film is based on a real life incident and features Tisca Chopra and Kay Kay Menon in the lead.
