The singer refused to take time off from work to celebrate reaching the milestone on Monday. Rather than relaxing she headed to a music studio in Nashville, Tennessee, reported celebrity website Just Jared.
Earlier in the day, Swift said in a radio interview she was feeling "really great" about turning 21 years old. "I don't feel older all of a sudden. It's a state of mind thing, how you see the world, being excitable, staying excitable and impressionable and doing your best not to become jaded or bitter.
"I think keeping your mind and your heart open keeps you young. Things feel really good on this birthday, really great in fact," she added.
