Singer Babul Supriyo is all set to make his Bollywood debut

Babul Supriyo enjoys being in front of the camera as much as being in a music recording studio.

  • He landed a role in the Bengali film Chander Bari (2007) when director Tarun Majumdar casually asked him to act. He later went on to do two more Bengali films — Hitlist (2009) and Ogo Bodhu Sundari (2010).
  • On the singing front, his stage shows keep him busy. "If Bollywood has settled for mediocre singers who sound great when aided with singing-aid softwares, it is not my problem. That’s why most great singers are almost out of work. But it’s not the end of the world. Gaane gaane pe likha rehta hai gaanewaale ka naam. Whenever a good song is meant to come my way, it will and I shall sing it."
