Actor Shaheer Sheikh's father has tested positive for COVID-19 and is under treatment at a hospital. In a tweet, the actor revealed that his father is currently battling a severe infection and is on a ventilator. Sharing a photo of his father from what appears to be a vacation, the Pavitra Rishta 2 actor urged his fans and followers to pray for his father's health and recovery. In a tweet, Shaheer Sheikh said, “My dad is on a ventilator, suffering from a severe covid infection…Please keep him in your prayers.” Fans and colleagues of the actor banded together in the comments section to extend support and strength.
Hina Khan, who lost her father in April last year, assured Shaheer Sheikh that his father would be back soon and asked everyone to send prayers. Sharing Shaheer's tweet, Hina Khan said, “Patience my friend, I told you, he will come home healthy and happy very soon.. Inshallah,” along with the hashtag, “Send Dua Everyone.” Hina Khan and Shaheer Sheikh have appeared in two music videos together.
Actor Karanvir Sharma too offered Shaheer Sheikh help and said, “Wishing him a speedy recovery. Please do let me know if you need anything.”

Shaheer Sheikh recently became father to a baby girl. The actor and his wife Ruchikaa Kapoor welcomed their little one in September. On the occasion of New Year, the actor had shared a family picture with the baby's face hidden with a flower emoji. In the caption, he wrote, “Happy new year everyone. As we step into 2022, I hope we change our outlook and be more mindful towards protecting & preserving our planet…”

Most recently, Shaheer was seen in the web show Pavitra Rishta 2 with Ankita Lokhande. The series is a reboot of the TV show that featured the late Sushant Singh Rajput with Ankita Lokhande.
