Actress Rakhi Sawant's mother Jaya, who is undergoing cancer treatment, thanked Salman Khan and his brother Sohail Khan for supporting her with financial support, in a video message recently. Rakhi Sawant shared the video on her Instagram and tagged Salman Khan and the show Bigg Boss 14. In the video, Rakhi Sawant's mother addressed Salman Khan from the hospital, where she's undergoing chemotherapy, and said: "Salman ji, thank you beta. Sohail ji, thank you. Yeh joh abhi mera chemo chal raha hai, main abhi hospital mein hoon. Abhi do baaki hai, uske baad operation hoga." Rakhi Sawant's mother also showered Salman Khan with blessings and best wishes for his helpful gesture.

In an interview with Times Of India recently, Rakhi Sawant revealed both Salman and Sohail have been helping out the family with medical expenses: "...a major part of the treatment has been taken care of by Salman Khan sir. He is really an angel for us and so is his brother Sohail Khan. Both of them are in touch with the doctor and are taking feedback of the treatment from him. What more can I ask for from the almighty. I am really blessed to have Salman sir as my brother."
Rakhi Sawant featured on the recently concluded Bigg Boss 14 - she entered the house as a challenger this season. At the finale episode on February 21, she left the show with a sum of Rs 14 lakh, which was deducted from the winner's amount during a task earlier. After he exit from the show, Rakhi Sawant said she would use the money for her mother's treatment.
