“Everybody…Light the sky…Shout if you're with me…Hayya Hayya…” This is exactly what our beloved Bollywood stars did when they landed in Qatar for the FIFA World Cup 2022. Sanjay Kapoor, Mouni Roy and Karisma Kapoor led the celeb roll call. It won't be wrong to say that half of Bollywood was spotted in the stands. From Masaba Gupta to Ananya Panday, the who's who of the showbiz world made their way to the Gulf nation. Starting with the emerging fashionista Shanaya Kapoor. Her travel buddies: BFF Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur. They were also joined by Chunky Panday. For the Pandays and Kapoors, the semis clash between Argentina and Croatia was an unbelievable experience. Pictures and videos from their time in the stands are proof. Ananya Panday dropped a video that perfectly captured every moment of her stay in Qatar. Bonus: the one and only David Beckham. Along with the clip, Ananya wrote, “What an experience. The FIFA World Cup 2022 semi-finals – Argentina beating Croatia, seeing [Lionel] Messi just be the legend that he is, David Beckham waving at us and getting to see all this with my Papa and best friends.”

For Chunky Panday, it was the “most beautiful experience.” From supporting Lionel Messi-led Argentina to sharing the frame with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, the album ticked all the boxes.

Oh, and, Sanjay Kapoor couldn't keep calm after Lionel Messi's unstoppable penalty gave Argentina a 1-0 lead in the first half of the game. In the video, Sanjay Kapoor is screaming his heart out, “Messi…Messi…Goal.” Hey, hope you spotted Aditya Roy Kapur too. FYI: Aditya and Ananya are rumoured to be dating. Sharing the video, Sanjay Kapoor wrote, “Never dreamt that I would be there in the stadium and watch Messi scoring a goal in a World Cup semi-final. What an unbelievable moment to watch this with 85k Argentinian fans all screaming Messi Messi.”

In the middle of this, Karisma Kapoor wasn't worried about her “messy hair” as the “beautiful nights and city lights” kept her occupied.

Karisma Kapoor was cheering for Luka Modric and the Croatian side during the mouth-watering clash against Argentina.

Mouni Roy and her husband Suraj Nambiar also made their way to Qatar to watch the “Messi Magic.”

We just can't forget Nora Fatehi. After all, she has been part of the football carnival from the very beginning. Guys, we are talking about the FIFA anthem - Light The Sky. She has rocked the world with her performance. Balqees, Manal and Rahma Riad are also part of the song. It is the fourth single on the FIFA 2022 official soundtrack.  Now, tell us, do you remember the moment when Nora was spotted grooving to the FIFA anthem during the Portugal vs Uruguay game? Check out the video here:

Masaba Gupta was also in Qatar to witness the "Messi Magic" and cheer for Morocco. The ace fashion designer shared glimpses from her “72 hours in Doha” on Instagram. For Masaba, “nothing like the spirit of sport.” We can't agree more. Her caption read, “72 hours in Doha witnessing the final moments of some Messi magic and the Moroccans coming so close each time .. yet so far.”

Anushka Ranjan and her “crew” also checked in Qatar for the semis round. After watching the Argentina and Croatia clash, she wrote, “Had the most surreal experience yesterday! Argentina vs Croatia. Semi-finals in Qatar!!! Vamos Vamos Argentina.”

Anushka Ranjan also shared snippets from the France vs Morocco game.

Aamir Khan too couldn't stop himself from going all the way to Qatar to watch one of the group stage encounters. The actor was joined by his ex-wife Kiran Rao and their son Azad.
