New Delhi: Congratulations x 2, Team Judwaa? Varun Dhawan's film has scored over Rs 200 crores with its worldwide box office collections, said production house Fox Star. A tweet shared by the makers recently shared the total amount to be Rs 203.33 crore with the break up being Rs 166 crore from India while Rs 36 crore being overseas contribution. The numbers however, are different by a noticeable margin, from what trade analyst Taran Adarsh has reported to be. Judwaa 2 has been at theatres in India for almost three weeks now to fetch some Rs 130 crore, reported Mr Adarsh. "Despite the pre-Diwali phase new films, Judwaa 2 managed to retain its top position for third consecutive week... Had a healthy Weekend 3," is what he tweeted Monday morning. Judwaa 2 scored the 100 crore bounty at theatres in India just within eight days.

IANS states that according to the statement released by the makers, Judwaa 2 is this year's third movie to have toppled over the Rs 200 crore mark after Shah Rukh Khan's Raees and Akshay Kumar's Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.

Here's a look at Judwaa 2's progress report on home-soil as evaluated by Taran Adarsh:

At the beginning of the second week, the possibility of Judwaa 2 ranking second to Baahubali as the second highest grosser was already considered: "Will it emerge HIGHEST GROSSER of 2017, after #Baahubali2? Hindi films," Mr Adarsh tweeted.

Judwaa 2 also stars Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez as Varun Dhawan's two heroines. It is a sequel to Salman Khan's 1997 cult comedy Judwaa and is also directed by Varun's father David Dhawan, who helmed the first part. Salman Khan features in a cameo in Judwaa 2.
