George Martin Dies at 90. Twitter Bids Farewell to 'Fifth Beatle'

New Delhi: Legendary music producer George Martin, who signed British band The Beatles for their first record contract in 1962, has died at the age of 90.

Mr Martin was mourned by several members of the music industry. Former Beatle Ringo Starr, who confirmed Mr Martin's death on Twitter, led a series of tributes from music producer Mark Ronson, singers Lenny Kravitz, Liam Gallagher, Boy George and Josh Groban, and composer Vishal Dadlani.
