Angelina Jolie Pays Tribute to Brad Pitt, Son With Unbroken

Angelina's World War II drama Unbroken tells the story of Louis Zamperini.

London:

Actress-director Angelina Jolie says her new movie Unbroken has allowed her to pay tribute to the men that she loves.

Angelina, 39, is back in the director's chair with World War II drama Unbroken, which tells the story of Louis Zamperini.

Mr Zamperini was an Olympic runner who was captured by the Japanese during the war.

"I don't feel it's a woman's touch as much as it's how a woman loves and respects men. And I look at this, and I see my son, and Brad (Pitt), and it's me paying respect to the men I love, showing them I know them intimately and I know them emotionally," Angelina was quoted as saying to Femalefirst.

"And they're not just cool to me when they're being tough. They're cool when they're able to be vulnerable to," she said.

Unbroken marks the second film in Angelina's directing career and comes after she made her debut with In The Land of Blood and Honey in 2011.

She will also be directing By The Sea, in which she stars with Brad and is also written by her.
