  • Katy Perry's Wide Awake from concert film Part of Me and Norah Jones' Everybody Needs a Best Friend from Ted are shortlisted and so are Mumford & Sons' Learn Me Right from Brave and tunes from Quentin Tarantino's much-anticipated Django Unchained by Rick Ross 100 Black Coffins and John Legend's Freedom.
  • Other films represented in the category include - Act of Valor, Being Flynn, Frankenweenie, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hunger Games among others.
  • The nominations will be announced in January 2013.
