Adele Shatters Taylor Swift's Record With Hello

Los Angeles: With more than 27 million plays in its first 24 hours Adele's comeback song Hello is turning out be one of the biggest hits of 2015. The music video shattered Vevo's most single-day views record, which was previously held by Taylor Swift chartbuster Bad Blood, reported Ace Showbiz.

Taylor's Bad Blood from her album 1989 premiered on Vevo in May last year and had around 20.1 million views in the first 24 hours. After four days, Adele's new music video from her upcoming album 25, has received 79 million plays on Vevo. (Also Read: Adele Says Hello to Fans After 3 Years)

Hello, directed by filmmaker Xavier Dolan and also features The Wire actor Tristan Wilds in a short role. It released on October 23.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old singer is all set to visit Saturday Night Live as a guest in the show's November 21 episode hosted by Matthew McConaughey to promote the follow-up album to her massively successful 2011 record 21.25 will be Adele's third album and follow a pattern as her previous works were entitled 19 and 21 also after her ages. In Britain, 21 is by far the best-selling album so far in the 21st century.
