New Delhi: Music composer Aadesh Shrivastava was cremated at Mumbai's Oshiwara Crematorium on September 5. The composer, who scored music for over a 100 Bollywood films, died on September 5 after a long, hard battle with cancer. He was 51.
Many from the film fraternity reached the cremation ground to say the final goodbye to their colleague and friend. Amitabh Bachchan, who worked with Mr Shrivastava in films such as Baghban and Major Saab, was photographed consoling his actress-wife Vijeta Pandit. Actors Anil Kapoor, Shekhar Suman and Ayesha Jhulka and filmmaker Sudhir Mishra also accompanied the family to the crematorium. Playback singer Udit Narayan, who worked with Mr Shrivastava in films such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Uljhan, was spotted conversing with Mr Shrivastava's brother-in-law, music-composer Lalit. Aadesh Shrivastava and Jatin-Lalit successfully collaborated in scoring the music for several films including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Chalte Chalte.
Mr Shrivastava is known for his work in films like Chalte Chalte, Baabul, Baghban, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Raajneeti.
