Ballia, Uttar Pradesh: Attacking Narendra Modi for planning "Ganga Arti" programme in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today alleged that it was not a religious but a political programme.

"Modi's Ganga arti programme in Varanasi is not a religious one but purely political", Mr Yadav said while addressing an election rally at Sikandarpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Alleging that BJP was spreading communalism, Mr Yadav claimed that it would not be able to win more than 150 seats in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls in the country.

"There are a number of states, where BJP stands nowhere but Third Front parties are there in every state. After elections the government of Third Front will be formed", Mr Yadav said.

Meanwhile in Varanasi, BJP today mounted an all-out attack on the Election Commission over refusal of permission for holding a rally for Narendra Modi who questioned its neutrality while protests were held in the temple town and in Delhi demanding removal of the Returning Officer.
