In the wake of the pandemic situation prevailing in the nation, many states have either cancelled or postponed Class 10 and 12 board examinations. Telangana SSC exams have been cancelled and Inter exams have been postponed. The UP Board exams 2021 for Class 10 and 12 have been postponed till May 20. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test postgraduate (NEET PG) 2021 has also been postponed until further notice.

Gujarat board exam date for Class 10 and 12 has been postponed. Gujarat board has also announced mass promotions for students of Classes 1 to 9 and 11. Haryana board exam 2021 for Class 10 exams have been cancelled and Class 12 exams have been postponed. Punjab board exams 2021 for Class 10, 12 have also been postponed. The Odisha government too on Thursday decided to postpone Odisha Class 10, 12 board exams 2021.

Will ICSE 2021 Board exam be conducted? No announcement has been made so far. Gerry Arathoon, Secretary of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) said CISCE will review the situation and make a decision on the ICSE and ISC exam dates soon.

Soon after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) decided to cancel its Class 10 board exams and postpone Class 12 board exams, many states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan have also announced the postponement of their state board exams considering the alarming surge in COVID-19 cases.
