
CBSE 10th result 2020 will be released on the board's official website, 'cbse.nic.in', and 'cbseresults.nic.in' soon. CBSE had informed Supreme Court on June 26 that it would announce Class 10 and Class 12 board exam results by July 15. The board announced Class 12 results on July 13. In Class 12, 88.78 per cent students have passed. The board has said it will conduct an optional exam only for those subjects for which the exam was cancelled by the board in light of the coronavirus pandemic. CBSE does not award marks in class 10 exams and instead awards grades in subjects.
However, earlier today, an official from the Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE said the Class 10 annual exam results' date has not been fixed yet. When asked about whether the CBSE 10th result being released today or not as reported by a section of media, the official has confirmed that “not today”.
The results are also expected to be released on the official website results.nic.in.
CBSE 10th results 2020: Assessment scheme
The centre and the CBSE, represented in the court by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, had told the the top court on June 26 that the assessment scheme will consider marks achieved by students in last three papers of board exams.
As per the assessment scheme, results of Class 10 and 12 students, who have completed all their exams, will be declared based on their performances in the exams.
"For students who have appeared in the examinations in more than three subjects, the average of the marks obtained in the best three performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted," CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said.
"For students who have appeared in the examinations in only three subjects, the average of the marks obtained in the best two performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted," he said.
For students who have appeared for only one or two exams, the assessment will be based on practical work and class projects. Such students, who are mainly from Delhi, also have the option of taking the written exams at a later date.
CBSE 12th results 2020
In the CBSE Class 12 results announced today, out of the total 11,92,961 students appeared for the exam, 10,59,080 students qualified for higher education with a pass percentage of 88.78%.
A total of 12,03,595 students had registered for CBSE Class 12 annual examinations this year.
This year's CBSE Class 12 results have an increase of 5.38 per cent from last year. This year the pass percentage among girls is 92.15 per cent and among boys it is 86.19 per cent. Girls have done better than boys by 5.96 per cent. pass percentage among transgender students is 66.67 per cent.
In the CBSE Class 12 result declared today, a total of 1,57,934 students have scored more than 90% marks. Of these, 38,686 students have secured above 95%.
