Tablet lost at airport recovered from Delhi Metro

New Delhi: A passenger who lost his costly Samsung Tablet at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi got it back from the Delhi Metro thanks to some diligent tracking of the gadget by the CISF.

The incident occurred on March 19 when a passenger, Abhishek Samant, reached the IGIA's Terminal 3 to board a flight to Chandigarh.

Officials said Samant complained to Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at the airport that someone has picked up his Samsung calling tablet from the ticketing window while he was busy with his travel documentation.

The CISF immediately began scanning CCTV footage of the area and simultaneously played a trick by sending a message that the location of the tab device had been traced and whosoever was handling it would be caught.

Soon after the message, officials said, a person called up the CISF airport control room that he had been handed over the lost gadget and that he was handing over the tablet to a CISF officer posted at New Delhi Metro station.

Samant was later called by the CISF and he collected his device from its officials at New Delhi Metro station.
