It was a humid day in Delhi with light rains in several parts of the national capital.
"The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal. The minimum settled at 27 degrees Celsius, normal for this part of the year," a MeT official said on Friday.
The humidity levels oscillated between 89 and 68 per cent.
"While traces of rainfall were recorded at Safdarjung observatory, 30.6 mm of rainfall was recorded at Palam observatory," the official said.
The weatherman has predicted rain and thundershowers for Saturday.
"The morning will be cloudy and light rains or thundershowers can occur in some areas later in the day," he said, adding, "the maximum and minimum are likely to settle at 34 degrees and 26 degrees Celsius."
On Thursday, the maximum temperature was registered at 37.5 degree Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 29.2 degrees Celsius.
