Kiran Bedi's Tweets on '5 S and 6 Ps' for Delhi Show She is Prepping for Key Role

Kiran Bedi's Tweets on '5 S and 6 Ps' for Delhi Show She is Prepping for Key Role
New Delhi: As the BJP battles resentment in the ranks over the possibility of Kiran Bedi being projected as chief ministerial face in Delhi, her tweets this morning on her "5 S" and "6 P" formulas for the capital fueled buzz that she is prepping for a key role.

"Five S for Delhi _Saaksher, Swasth, Sakshum, Surakshit and Sanskari, Dilli>>>Meaning--.literate,healthy, capable, secure, and ethical!(sic)," she said in one tweet.

In another, she posted what she has already spoken about after joining the BJP, "My 6 Ps to ensure holistic security to women+People(parents principals+) Politicians, Police, Prosecution,Prisons,Press with Govt as HUB."

Ms Bedi joined the BJP last Thursday, and, at a press conference with party president Amit Shah, proclaimed her credentials. "I have 40 years' experience in administration," she said, adding, "I know how to work and get work done."

The BJP's top decision making panel, the parliamentary board, is expected to decide today on candidates for the February 7 Delhi assembly polls and also on whether Ms Bedi will be the party's choice for chief minister.

Sources in the party say her pronouncements and Twitter posts since joining the BJP have been viewed with growing suspicion by those angling for the chief minister's post.

"Repeatedly asked what ought to be d priority of a Govt.My response has always been,To ensure ALL departments DELIVER as 'ONE ORGANIC WHOLE," she tweeted on Sunday.

On Sunday, Kiran Bedi invited Delhi's BJP MPs to tea at her residence, and was instantly criticized for overstepping her role without authority. Five of the seven MPs showed up, and Ms Bedi reportedly asked them about development work in their constituencies.

The same day, the former IPS officer rebutted the comments of her former associate Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party that the BJP had brought her in as it did not have a face in Delhi.

"The BJP has got the world's most beautiful face with it, Narendra Modi and his leadership. After that we are just stars who are revolving around him. He is the sun, the resource from which we draw energy. We will need the support of central funds for Delhi," said Ms Bedi, who had worked with many AAP leaders as part of Anna Hazare's anti-corruption campaign.
