A 12-year-old boy in Maharashtra has died after trying to re-enact the sort of suicide he had seen in TV serials.
Swapnil Choudhry was watching television with his elder sister Ankita on Sunday afternoon when he's alleged to have remarked: "Whatever is shown in serials is untrue. People still remain alive after committing suicide."
In order to prove his point, he went to the next room and hung himself with a dupatta in their house in Vasole village in the Satara district.
When this tragedy struck, Swapnil's parents were at work.
