Minor allegedly kills man who reprimanded him for trying to rape girl
Kalyan: In a shocking incident, a minor boy has been arrested by the police in Kalyan in the outskirts of Mumbai for allegedly killing a person who reprimanded him for trying to rape an 11-year-old girl, his neighbour.

The incident occurred around 11: 30 pm on Friday when the victim, Haji Abdul Jabbar Shaikh, was allegedly attacked by six men while on his way home. The accused allegedly chopped off four of his fingers and stabbed him several times.

According to Mr Shaikh's family, the minor - the main accused - dragged the girl to the terrace of his home with an intention to rape her. The girl raised an alarm after which the boy was caught. Shaikh, 31, later reportedly admonished the boy at a community meeting, warning him against repeating such an act. This allegedly irked the boy who then, Mr Shaikh's family claims, planned to kill him.

"He is a security guard in the mall. He protects everybody. That's why he went and fought with the boys. He got into a tussle with the older boy. They wanted to take revenge, that's why they called my son. They beat him up after that, so much that he couldn't even speak or get up. He has done something good. He looked out for the girl, took care of her respect and became a martyr," said Shahenaj Shaikh, the victim's mother,

The police, who initially treated the incident a case of personal enmity, now, say that humiliation led the minor boy to seek revenge that resulted in the victim's brutal murder.

Cops have also nabbed another accused in the case while four others are absconding. While the minor has been charged with molestation and murder, his co-conspirators have been booked for murder.
