Man posing as IAS officer arrested in Dehradun

Dehradun: A man allegedly impersonating an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) was arrested in Dehradun, police said today.

Tarun Kumar Jha, a native of Bihar, was arrested yesterday at his residence in THDC colony in Patel Nagar area after he posed as an official of Railway Transport Service and cheated a woman by promising her a job in lieu of Rs 25,000, police said.

Official stamps of the Railways and other departments have been recovered from his possession, they said.
