Faridabad:
A woman was allegedly blackmailed and raped repeatedly by a man whom she was acquainted with at a party recently, police said today.
The woman, a single parent of a three-year-old girl, filed a complaint at the Surajkund police station in Faridabad that the accused, Gopichand, blackmailed her by making her obscene video and repeatedly sexually assaulted her.
The woman, who works at a farm house in Chhatarpur, has been living in New Ranjit Nagar separately with her daughter after she fell out with her husband around three years ago.
Police said the woman got acquainted with Gopichand, who is also married, after they met at a party a few days back. He had even proposed marriage to which she rejected, they said.
According to the complaint, the accused then took the woman to a hotel in Gurgaon and allegedly raped her after lacing sedatives with her cold drink and made a video.
He then forced her to have physical relations with him by threatening her of releasing the video on the internet.
A case has been registered against the accused, police said, adding that a probe into the matter is on.
