Drunk men create ruckus at Metro Station

Drunk men create ruckus at Metro Station
New Delhi: Around ten people, allegedly in an inebriated condition and carrying liquor bottles, created ruckus at a Metro station here and attempted to damage a scanner after they were refused entry by security personnel.

The men, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, were carrying liquor bottles in their hand and entered the Patel Chowk station.

They  went to the security check area but were not allowed to proceed by security personnel as they were carrying alcohol with them.

This is probably the first incident of its kind in a metro station ever since the new age transport system was introduced in the capital in 2002.

"A group of ten men came to the station at around 8.20 pm with alcohol in their hands and wanted to enter the station. When they were not allowed, they tried to damage the scanner machine," eye-witnesses said.

However, there was no official word either from the Metro or from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which guards metro stations in the capital.
