2,600 computer labs to be set up in Haryana govt schools

Chandigarh: The Haryana Government has decided to set up 2,600 computer laboratories in governmentschools in the state.

"2,600 labs would be set up this year in government schools and as many as 52,000 computer tables would be purchased from the state forest department for this purpose," an official spokesman said here today.

He said a decision to this effect was taken in a meeting held under the chairmanship of State's Finance and Forests Minister Ajay Singh Yadav here yesterday.

The spokesman said there were about six lakh students studying in senior secondary schools in the state and efforts would be made to provide best quality of dual desks and computer tables to them.

He said education was among the priority of the government and efforts were being made to provide all basic amenities to students in the government schools.
