Tata Motors has unveiled the production-spec version of its much-awaited Tata Sierra SUV in India. The Sierra SUV is set to be launched in the country on November 25. However, reports claim that the brand has already started taking bookings for the Sierra SUV (ICE version). According to reports, dealers are collecting small token amounts, sometimes starting at just Rs 21,000, to record customer details and preferred variants. These aren't official company-backed bookings, but dealer-level initiatives aimed at gauging early interest and handling demand from buyers nostalgic about the original 1990s Sierra and eager to be among the first to own its modern successor.

Tata Motors has revived the iconic Sierra nameplate with the launch of its latest SUV, inspired by the original model from the 1990s. This new version blends contemporary styling with a premium, tech-packed cabin. The model had been previewed several times during its development, starting as a concept and later in pre-production form, but with the official unveiling, all details are now available.

The Tata Sierra carries forward its classic boxy silhouette, reimagined with modern styling cues. It features an upright stance highlighted by gloss-black panels that seamlessly connect the LED headlights, DRLs, brand logo, and bold "Sierra" lettering. Adding to its rugged appeal are a skid plate and twin fog lamps neatly integrated into the front bumper.

Inside, the Tata Sierra comes with three dashboard displays-one for the driver and two for infotainment, capable of sharing content seamlessly. It uses the same four-spoke steering wheel as the Tata Curvv, featuring an illuminated logo and touch-sensitive controls.

The cabin sports a black-and-grey theme, complemented by a large panoramic sunroof stretching to the C-pillar for an airy feel. Seating is for five, finished in a dual-tone beige and grey scheme, with each seat offering adjustable headrests and 3-point seatbelts.

The new Tata Sierra will likely debut the carmaker's 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, first showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. It will produce around 170 hp and 280 Nm and will be available with both manual and automatic transmissions.  This is not the only new engine for the Sierra, as per reports, Tata will also offer a 1.5-litre NA petrol mill with the SUV. Apart from this, the SUV will have a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 118 hp of power and 260 Nm of torque. This is the same unit that the brand has employed on Curvv and Nexon.
