Tata Sierra SUV Might Interest You, If You're Planning To Buy These Cars

Here's why you can still consider booking a Tata Sierra over its long set of rivals. The offical price announcement of the SUV will happen on November 25.

Tata Sierra SUV Might Interest You, If You're Planning To Buy These Cars

Tata Sierra is an old yet celebrated nameplate for the Indian car audience. It was indeed one the first SUVs from Tata Motors to go on sale. When the company showcased its production-spec form at the Auto Expo this year, it became the most-awaited launch in the country. The automaker has now revealed it in its full glory, but specifications remain under the wraps. However, there's still some info that we have, helping us in figuring out its key rivals.

The Tata Sierra's official price announcement will take place on November 25 while you can book one. We are expecting the prices to start from Rs 12 Lakh and go up to Rs 20 lakh, making it go against the likes of the Hyundai Creta. Thus, you can consider the Tata Sierra, if you are locked-in on these mid-size SUVs:

  1. Hyundai Creta
  2. Kia Seltos
  3. Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
  4. Volkswagen Taigun
  5. Skoda Kushaq

Interestingly, Tata Motors is tight-lipped about the Sierra's dimensions. It look likes close to 4.3 meters in length, and therefore, shows off enough space inside its upright bodyshell. The design too is quite bold, and it will certainly aid it with butch road presence.

Tata Motors is betting big on the feature list too. It manages to offer more than its rivals with a triple-screen layout, adjustable under-thigh support on front seats, reclining rear seats, 12-speaker JBL sound system, ventilated & powered front seats, dual-zone climate control and more.

In terms of powertrain choices, the Sierra could trump its rivals. It is expected to come with a 1.5L turbo-petrol motor and the existing 1.5L turbo-diesel that does duties on the Nexon. More details about the powertrain will follow soon.
