Tata Motors is working on diversifying its offerings for Indian customers. Recently, the brand launched the Altroz facelift and is now preparing to introduce the updated Tata Safari, with a petrol powertrain. The upcoming iteration of the Tata Safari has now been snapped testing. Though the test mule was heavily camouflaged, it does suggest a few design highlights about the Tata Safari petrol.
Recently, two models of the Tata Safari have been spied testing side by side. The test models insist that there has been no exterior change in the cars. This also implies that Tata might be testing the petrol engine for the Safari. However, the 1.5-liter petrol engine is still under development and is likely to be equipped by the year-end. This turbo-petrol mill is expected to deliver a peak power and torque output of around 170 hp and 280 Nm, respectively.
