The test mule of the Skoda Slavia facelift has been spotted testing in India, hinting at upcoming changes to the midsize sedan. The prototype was partially camouflaged, suggesting exterior updates are in the works. While Skoda has not confirmed an official launch date, the facelift is expected to reach showrooms by late 2026, continuing its rivalry with the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna, and Honda City.
Up front, the sedan appears to adopt a redesigned bumper with a larger air intake and sharper detailing, giving it a sportier look. Revised LED headlamps with new internal elements are paired with a tweaked grille featuring integrated lighting. Along the sides, the silhouette remains familiar, though new alloy wheel designs and fresh paint options are anticipated. At the rear, minor bumper revisions and a connected LED taillamp setup-similar to Skoda's SUV range-add a modern touch.

Inside, the cabin retains its dual-tone dashboard and floating infotainment display, but the test mule revealed a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster borrowed from the Kushaq facelift. Feature upgrades are expected to include dual-tone ambient lighting, rear seat massage functionality, and an updated 10.1-inch infotainment system with AI-based assistance. A panoramic sunroof was absent on the prototype, suggesting the sedan will continue with a single-pane unit.

Safety equipment is likely to be enhanced with front parking sensors and all-wheel disc brakes, complementing existing features such as six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, rear sensors, and tyre pressure monitoring.

Mechanically, the facelifted Slavia is expected to retain its current turbo-petrol engine options. The 1.0-litre TSI may gain an 8-speed automatic gearbox, replacing the older 6-speed unit, while the 1.5-litre TSI should continue with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Both engines are expected to deliver the same balance of efficiency and performance that has defined the Slavia so far.
