
Skoda Auto India has added a new variant to the Kodiaq SUV, called the Lounge. The new Lounge variant is now positioned as the entry-level variant of the Kodiaq, placed below the Sportline and the Selection L&K. Unlike the other variants, the Skoda Kodiaq is the 5-seater version of the Skoda SUV.
Talking about the changes, the Skoda Kodiaq Lounge variant gets 18-inch Mazeno alloy wheels. Also, the new variant gets only three exterior color options, including Moon White, Magic Black, and Graphite Grey. Meanwhile, the higher variants of the Skoda Kodiaq also get Race Blue, Velvet Red, and Steel Grey color options.

Positioned as the new entry-level variant, the Skoda Kodiaq Lounge ditches several features compared to the other variants, like the 360-degree camera, intelligent park assist, a Canton music system, driver drowsiness detection, and more. Meanwhile, it is equipped with features like a smaller 10.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 100W 9-speaker sound system, and more. As this variant is a 5-seater version, it misses out on the third row and gets a grey and faux-suede interior theme.

Under the hood, the Skoda Kodiaq gets a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that works in conjunction with the automatic 7-speed DSG gearbox. The power mill delivers a peak power and torque output of 201 hp and 320 Nm.
Talking about the prices, the Skoda Kodiaq Lounge has been launched at Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Skoda Kodiaq Sportline and Selection L&K are priced at Rs 43.76 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 45.96 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
