Maruti Suzuki Jimny isn't a participant in the company's list of best-selling models. However, it is the car with a cult following, impeccable off-roading prowess, and huge potential for customisations. We have seen models modified with extensive off-road-centric upgrades and those with crazy cosmetic modifications to replicate a G-Wagen. This time around, we came across a subtly-tweaked example of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny that carries a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon vibe. Let's go through the changes it packs in.
We came across the images of this modified Maruti Suzuki Jimny via the Instagram account of the 6th Mile Customs. The most prominent change on it is the dual-tone paint scheme. While the Jimny carries its original white paint shade, the roof and C-pillars are painted in a shade of matte-black. It mimics the removable top of the Rubicon. Also, a sleek-looking roof rack is placed on the top. The rims are also painted in a bronze shade. While they don't look loud. They add a subtle contrast to the car's appeal.

If there are any mechanical changes to this example, we aren't aware of them. From the factory, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny comes with a 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol motor. The 4-cylinder unit belts out a peak power output of 105 Hp and 134 Nm. It is offered with two transmission choices - a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter automatic. There's a low-range transfer case as well.
As regards the suspension, the Jimny is suspended on coil springs with solid axles on both ends. While it doesn't get differential locks, there are brake-locking axles as standard. Sadly, it gets highway-terrain tyres from the factory, which fail to offer much grip in low-traction situations. Talking of prices, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny starts from Rs 12.32 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.45 lakh, ex-showroom. There are only two variants on sale - Zeta and Alpha.
