Lego has revealed a new 735-piece set paying tribute to Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher and his championship-winning Ferrari F2004, one of the most successful race cars in the sport's history. The release marks over two decades since Schumacher and Ferrari set records that defined the early 2000s F1 era.

The Ferrari F2004 powered Schumacher to his seventh and final World Drivers' Championship in 2004, following a dominant season in which he won 13 of 18 races. The performance extended his run of titles that had begun in 2000 and cemented his status as one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1. His record of seven championships stood unmatched until Lewis Hamilton equalled it in 2021.

The new Lego Icons set pays tribute to this golden era with a buildable version of the F2004, which famously carried Ferrari's red colours to a fifth consecutive Constructors' Championship. The detailed model features functional steering, realistic grooved slick tyres, and a replica of the V10 engine that made the real car one of the fastest in F1 history.

Accompanying the model is a Michael Schumacher minifigure complete with helmet, trophy, and a podium-style display stand. The base also includes printed vehicle specifications and a famous quote from the seven-time world champion. According to Lego, the set has been designed to appeal to both adult collectors and motorsport enthusiasts.

Priced at USD 149 (around Rs 13,696), it is currently Lego's most expensive Icons series Formula 1 set. It follows previous releases inspired by Ayrton Senna's 1988 McLaren MP4/4 and Nigel Mansell's 1992 Williams FW14B, continuing Lego's growing collection celebrating iconic F1 cars and drivers.

Lego's collaboration with Formula 1 has expanded in recent years, including smaller-scale Speed Champions models representing current grid cars and more technical builds under its Technic line. With this latest release, Lego seeks to honour a defining partnership between Schumacher and Ferrari that remains one of the most successful in racing history.
