Mercedes-Benz India is going to launch a special version of the AMG G63 called the "Collector's Edition" on June 12. This iteration of the SUV will be specifically designed for India and will pay tribute to the country's landscape. It has been developed by the joint efforts of Mercedes-Benz India and Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India. As of now, the brand has refrained from divulging any details of the vehicle. These are expected to be revealed as we approach closer to the launch event.

Based on the teaser image revealed by the German automaker, the SUV with the legendary name will have a bright paint in this iteration with silver wheels. Meanwhile, the overall silhouette of the SUV remains the same as the version on sale in the country. It continues to have its boxy design with the unique appeal associated with the name.

Currently, there is no teaser image available that reveals specifics about the cabin. It is anticipated that the list of features and the layout of the cabin will stay the same as well. The 2025 G 63 includes the new-generation MBUX infotainment system, which is similar to that found in the facelifted GLS. This system boasts a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen along with a digital instrument cluster of the same size. However, the new 'Collector's Edition' of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 is likely to introduce a new cabin theme that aligns with the Indian theme. Additionally, the selection of materials used for the interior lining and upholstery may undergo some modifications, considering it is a 'Collector's Edition' model.

The G 63 is equipped with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that generates 577 hp and 850 Nm of torque, distributing power to all four wheels through a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The power output for the 'Collector's Edition' is expected to remain the same. Similarly, there shouldn't be any alterations to the features available with the G 63. The base price for the standard G 63 is Rs 3.64 crore (ex-showroom, India), and we believe the 'Collector's Edition' will come with a substantial premium due to its limited availability.
