Hyundai Motor India has launched the 2026 i20 in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Renewing its presence in the premium hatchback segment, the car has now become relatively more affordable for entry-level buyers. The changes in the price list come without any change in the feature list or mechanics of the model.

The entry-level Hyundai i20 Era variant now starts at Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom), reflecting the updated range. Even as the most affordable trim, it comes with elements like six airbags as standard, a digital instrument cluster, skid plates at the front and rear, body-coloured ORVMs and door handles, Type-C USB charging ports, and telescopic steering adjustment.

Along with the price drop, the Magna Executive variant introduces features such as a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), automatic headlights, keyless entry, power-adjustable ORVMs, audio and Bluetooth controls on the steering wheel, a shark fin antenna, and telescopic steering, making it an appealing option in its segment.

The Magna variant enhances this by including additional comfort and convenience features like an electric sunroof, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), rear air conditioning vents, and a front armrest with storage, aimed at buyers seeking a more upscale in-cabin experience.

Powering the Hyundai i20 is the same 1.2-litre petrol engine, which produces 88 hp of power and 114 Nm of peak torque. The unit is paired with either a manual transmission or iVT. With all of this, the car competes against models like Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Tata Altroz in the Indian market. Among these, the Altroz was updated in May 2025 with a facelift version.
