Honda ZR-V Hybrid SUV Teased Ahead Of 22 May Debut

Honda Cars India has officially teased the upcoming Honda ZR-V Hybrid SUV ahead of its debut on May 22, 2026. The teaser confirms that the new premium SUV will be called the Honda ZR-V eHEV in India. The SUV will arrive as a completely built-up (CBU) import and will sit above the Honda Elevate as the brand's flagship SUV in the country.

Honda ZR-V eHEV: Exterior & Design

The teaser image reveals the front silhouette of the Honda ZR-V Hybrid, showcasing its sleek and sporty styling. The SUV gets sharp LED headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs, giving it a modern appearance. The illuminated Honda logo can also be seen at the centre of the grille. Compared to the upright design of the Elevate, the Honda ZR-V eHEV looks more coupe-inspired with a lower roofline and wider stance.

The teaser also hints at flush-type roof rails and a sunroof, which is expected to be a panoramic unit similar to the international-spec model. Globally, the Honda ZR-V Hybrid gets chrome detailing on the grille, sporty bumper elements, functional air vents, and a honeycomb-style lower air intake design. The India-spec model is likely to retain most of these styling details.

Honda ZR-V eHEV: Dimensions

In terms of dimensions, the Honda ZR-V eHEV measures 4,568 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height, while the wheelbase stands at 2,657 mm. The SUV also offers 180 mm ground clearance and a 390-litre boot space. Alloy wheel sizes are expected to range between 17 and 19 inches.

Honda ZR-V eHEV: Interior & Features

Inside the cabin, the Honda ZR-V Hybrid is expected to feature a premium dual-tone interior with a layered dashboard layout. The SUV could come equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.2-inch digital driver's display, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, powered front seats, a powered tailgate, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system. Honda is also likely to offer a panoramic sunroof and Level-2 ADAS safety technology along with six airbags and ISOFIX mounts.

Honda ZR-V eHEV: Engine Specs

Powering the Honda ZR-V eHEV is expected to be a 2.0-litre four-cylinder strong-hybrid petrol engine paired with an e-CVT automatic gearbox. The hybrid setup develops around 180 hp and 240 Nm of torque. Internationally, the SUV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in nearly 8 seconds and has a top speed of around 170 kmph.

Honda ZR-V eHEV: Price & Rivals

The Honda ZR-V Hybrid is expected to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the Honda ZR-V eHEV will rival premium SUVs like the Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq in the Indian market.
