Honda Motorcycle Retires CD 110 Dream In India

The commuter motorcycle segment in India is quite massive, and most of the brands are tuning their engines to comply with the OBD-2B norms. Meanwhile, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has now decided to discontinue the CD 110 Dream. The motorcycle has served as one of the popular commuters in the Indian market for the past eleven years.

Honda has not made any official announcement regarding the discontinuation of the CD 110 Dream, it has been silently delisted from the brand's official website. SIAM reported that Honda Motorcycle and Scooter managed to sell just a single unit of the lightweight commuter in February 2025. Also, Honda sold only 33 units of the CD 110 Dream in March 2025. The sales of the Honda CD 110 Dream fell to null in April 2025. This poor sales figure might be one of the key reasons for the removal of the commuter motorcycle from the brand's portfolio.

The Honda CD 110 Dream was powered by a 109.51cc air-cooled engine that was capable of churning out a peak power and torque output of 8.79 hp and 9.30 Nm, respectively. It carried a minimalist design approach with decent riding posture, as seen in most of the small-segment commuters in the market. Also, the motorcycle had been updated several times to comply with the emission norms and was first launched at around Rs 42,000 (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable bike in the country then. However, Honda launched the Shine 100 in 2023, which had a modern look and updated technology. This led to the decline in the CD 110 Dream's popularity among buyers.

While the Honda CD 110 Dream has been retired from the national market, Honda continues to offer other small-segment commuters in the Indian market, including the Shine 100, Shine 125, SP 125, SP160, Livo, and the Unicorn.
