Honda Motorcycle Posts 29 Pc YoY Growth In Jan'26 With 5.74 Lakh Unit Sales

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) reported total sales of 5,74,411 units in January 2026. This includes 5,19,579 units in domestic sales and 54,832 units in exports. HMSI registered a 29% year-on-year (YOY) growth compared to January 2025. For the Year-to-Date (YTD) period of FY26 (April 2025-January 2026), HMSI recorded total sales of 52,53,205 units, comprising 47,23,979 units sold domestically and 5,29,226 units exported.

Beyond strong sales momentum, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) reinforced its commitment to road safety and customer outreach through a series of initiatives in January. Staying true to its "Safety for Everyone" vision, the company conducted awareness campaigns across multiple cities including Ahmednagar, Alibag, Ballabgarh, Bhubaneswar, Dausa, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hosapete, Kakinada, Kasaragod, Kurukshetra, Raipur, and Surat. These programmes were designed to promote responsible riding practices and build community awareness around safe mobility.

In Kerala, HMSI organised a Road Safety Convention in Malappuram, engaging school principals and teachers to encourage the adoption of safe road habits from an early age. The company also launched the Jaipur Ideal Road Safety Project as part of National Road Safety Month, alongside a series of nationwide awareness drives, further underlining its proactive approach to safety education.

On the retail front, HMSI expanded its footprint with new authorised dealerships in Erode, Bilaspur, Moradabad, and Udhampur. Each outlet is supported by trained sales and service teams, ensuring enhanced customer experience and strengthening last-mile reach.

Reiterating its long-term focus, HMSI highlighted its commitment to safer and more accessible mobility through the adoption of advanced technologies across its product range. Features such as Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS), Combined Braking Systems (CBS), and rider-assist technologies are being integrated to improve safety standards for everyday riders. The company emphasised that these efforts are not only about compliance but also about contributing to a safer, cleaner, and more sustainable mobility ecosystem in India.
